In middle school Kelly took her first shop classes, prior to then she had been using a wide variety of tools, but had mostly just destroyed items. It wasn't until she received some formal education that she began to learn, in earnest, how to create different items.

Her first building love is working with hardwoods to create fine furtniture. So far she has built several dressers, some night stands, a key table, and a variety of other small household items. She will often use the scrap pieces from her larger projects to coble together some very nice cutting boards that have high demand and limited availability.

Kelly has also gathered a large collection of various skills that have allowed her to personally remodel just about everything in her house. So far she has redone the texture on all of the cielings and walls, redone several electrical issues present upon moving in, she has redone the rock fireplace facade, she has also redone the florring throughout the house, removing carpet, linoleum, and replacing it with larger format tiles. She also discovered the ability to solve the slow water entry to their house by replacing the main line and redirecting the entire outside water and irrigation system.
